Flag Book

We are making a flag book, where the spine is accordion-like.
Materials needed: 2 pieces of paper for spine of the book, 2 cardstock pieces for the covers. 2 pieces of pretty paper for the outer cover. Glue, scissors, pen or pencil, sticky notes.
Take one of the papers that you have chosen for the spine, fold it in half. Don't forget to fold both ways for maximum flexibility!
Then continue folding in the halves on one another
The result should look something like this! Please repeat steps 2-4 for the second paper.
Put one of the papers on top of the other, where the one on top only covers one fold on the other paper. Glue that part together, this is what will combine it and become your accordion spine.
Stretch it out a bit, and write Os on the the bottom and top of the first plane of the paper. Repeat that for every other plane. In similar fashion, add Xs to the planes between the ones that have Os. But add them in the middle of the page this time. These letters will guide where our pages will go.
Add sticky notes on every O you have
Then a different color of sticky notes on every X we have. The result should have the sticky notes turned different directions!
Glue your cardboard pieces to your selected outter-cover. Make sure you do the next steps carefully, so there are not air bubbles.
Fold in the corners.
Fold in the edges.
Glue the corners and then the edges on top of the cardboard. Repeat for the other piece of your cover please.
Glue a different piece of paper on the inside of your cover, this is just to give your covers some lining. In the provided example, I selected a lined piece of paper just so maybe I can write on it. But feel free to skip this if you want.
Do the same for the other cover
Cut paper sizes that can fit into the spots where our sticky notes were. They can be different colors. In the provided example I placed green and blue where the Os were, and pink where the Xs were.
Glue the accordion spine to the inner-cover. There should be two leftoverplanes that you can glue it to. And you're done! I recommend putting something heavy on top for the glue to marinate. Maybe books, or a laptop.
